Initial Connection didn't work, they were out the next day and made two trips to ensure we were operational. Great service, no problems with the connection speed. Moved to a rural area to new house, no cabling being put in, so they connected my property in Christchurch within a day. You rock! 2 Degrees!

My Spark ADSL Broadband was reliable and the service was prompt & friendly when needed occasionally. But Spark is getting too expensive for my basic requirements. Flip offers a naked Broadband ADSL service that meets my needs for $30/month less than Spark and so I'm transferring to Flip next week. Hope it works out well.

Although stated on their website at join up I was unware that the property I had moved into required a $150 switch on fee. As this no longer made them the 'cheapest in town' I rang to discuss then quit the contract. I was told that a refund would be decided by the accounts team in 2 weeks when they returned and it would take 1 month to refund after that. I later queried and voiced concerns to which I had no reply at all. Finally after 6 weeks I received my refund. When switching to Flip services, they were up front and specific about the christmas blackout period and waved the chorus switch on fee. ...read more
Pros
Cons
$150 call out fee to switch on.
Higher $50 administration fee.
No communication re; service blackout period with staff who did not have the tools to help; no information as to the delay of connection; no response to my email of concerns and queries. I had hoped that a little competition in the market around no contracts would help them to excell the small NZ internet provider in making a mark for themselves within a very tight and competitive market. Extremely disappointed. But at least I finally got my money refunded. ...read more
